rivers run deep.

My grandma was a cosmetologist in the 1950's. I remember watching her trim my little sister's bangs on our back porch during days she would babysit for us & not being able to tear my eyes away. I have always felt a strong connection to her, even more so after her passing.

One of my most precious possessions is her license from 1953 which sits in proudly in my studio. It is a blessing to be able to create with your hands, to make someone feel empowered through change & help someone see themselves clearly on the outside so that it better matches their insides.

I'm grateful to come from a family of makers, skilled tradesmen & strong trades-WOMEN & I feel proud to continue the trade she loved so much. I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to know & find my place amongst the lines that came before me. 💖
