floral preservation FAQ
-
The process can take a few months time. The bouquet should be dropped off as soon as possible after your event so that the flowers can be prepared and preserved while they are still in good shape.

For 3D preservation, I use silica sand to dehydrate the blooms. This method ensures we retain the florals’ color and shape as best as possible so they look most like what they did when first cut. This allows for them to be arranged in a larger resin block so you can enjoy the beauty of the bouquet in it’s almost original state.
For 2D Preservation, the flowers are pressed in between absorbent paper and cardboard to collect moisture and flatten them. This method allows for florals to be pressed between glass for hanging and displayed or put into flat lay resin options: trays, coasters, ornaments, earrings.
The type of flowers, their thickness and how they preserve or press will dictate how the finished piece will be composed.

There are a few resin block options to choose from including, but not limited to:
6” x 6” square
5” x 7” arch shape
Pair of 4” x 5” curved bookends
We can also discuss other add-on options to make something super custom that you can take with you - a necklace, hairpin or other accessory, or coasters, a ring holder, and other home décor - the possibilities are endless.

There is a $75.00 fee to dehydrate or press the flowers, this covers materials and comes off of your final invoice.
Prices for 3D preservation vary depending on the final product. Size of molds and the amount of resin being used will determine the cost. Pieces start at $375.00 and go up to $500.00 per piece based on the amount of resin needed to fill the block.
2D pressed options start at $225.00 for an 11×14 float frame and additional frames can be added based on amount of flowers that we have to work with. I am always sourcing frames so options are ever changing and evolving.
Please Note: A 50% deposit is required on all preservations and is to be paid before the resin pouring or pressed design process begins.
